I read an author's bio on the back of a book or column in a magazine somewhere that said s/he was "a photographer and essayist". How awesome would that be? I'd love to write for a living. A dream of mine has been to publish something, hell some days I can daydream my way to a Nobel Prize for Literature. Lofty, eh?
I love reading Memoires. The bookclub selection this month is Glass Castles, a memoire by a woman who grew up with seemingly crazy parents and a drunken father. I enjoyed A Million Little Pieces and didn't really care if it wasn't ALL true, that's a memoire, not a biography. I'd love to write one, but thankfully my life to date has been blessedly boring - no drugs or drinking, no neglect or abuse, no obstacles, hardships, pain and suffering, no drama at all. Which of course is a wonderful thing that makes me thankful each time I watch my children play. It's far from a bad thing to be so fortunate, except for the area of memoire writing.
Ah well, can't have everything, and I kinda like the hand I've been dealt.

And YAY for Missy finally getting off her ass to help me with the linking.

LMAO @ Mom - because she's RIGHT! We've both said it - you write very well, and you have a great start right here.
P.S. Thanks for getting off your lazy butt and listening to me. :) Makes my day!
