OuYang, Chun Wen
Chun Wen is two years old, and was born February 6, 2006. As of December, she was just shy of 3 feet tall and just under 25lbs (though I've read this is likely with several layers of clothing on, as is the practice in China). She has resided in the Lanzhou Children's Welfare Institute in the province of Gansu, China since early April 2006.
Chun Wen sleeps deeply and eats well. She enjoys eating rice, dumplings, noodles and stuffed steamed bread supplemented with milk, yoghurt, fruits, veggies and crackers.
Chun Wen can crawl and walk independently, though she needs to hold a hand to go up or down stairs. She uses her fingers and thumb well to pick up small things, holds a pen and scribbles. She manipulates blocks in, out and around cups, stacks four together. She is toilet trained during the day.
Chun Wen imitates words and says several independently. She knows body parts and knows what "No" means. She gives items when asked and helps with dressing.
Chun Wen is active and restless, energetic and "fairly extroverted". She enjoys music and singing, playing with toys and has a ready smile. She is fond of reading picture books and turns the pages one at a time. Her favourite activity is listening to music, her favourite toys are dolls.
Chun Wen is the one for and about whom we've been searching, waiting, dreaming, hoping and praying.

Chen Wen - Can I still call her that when she comes here? :)
But seriously - I know this process has caused a large range of emotions - but it appears the time has come to soon celebrate!
I'm glad everything is starting to come together - Fingers crossed that the final details go smoothly.
