SO we've been MATCHED! We're thrilled, excited and TERRIFIED.
Steve and I have come to learn and believe that since Anna won't know much of her history, what history she does have should remain hers to tell when/if she choses to. Therefore, we will not be sharing details of how she came to be in the orphanage or of her adoption.
We have been offered this referral and it is ours to accept or decline. We've been advised to wait for an update from the orphanage to make a final decision. I am asking for your prayers, thoughts, well wishes, good vibes - whatever works - that the update is promising and we can move forward. If it is not, we face the decision of turning down this referral. I am chosing to believe Chun Wen is ours, and the report will demonstrate her potential.
We took the kids out last night for Chinese food to celebrate and tell them we may have found their sister. They were SOOO excited! Elliot was impressed that when Anna comes home there will be SIX people in our family. Jack wanted to know if she'd grow up learning French. Paxten J. broke her fortune cookie in half and announced she was saving half for Annie. Their faces were alight with genuine excitement and love - Annie is very, very real to them and their eyes were huge at the thought that we may soon have her with us.
So now we wait for Next Week (ironic, no?) for the update to arrive and confirm our decision. I am trying very hard to find a balance between listening to my intuition and not letting my heart control my head.
Prayers and drinks welcome!

Natalie I am so excited for you and your whole family!!! I will keep you all in my prayers and I am sending good vibes your way!! I hope the report you receive next week shows lots of progress and everything proceeds quickly.
I am already anticipating the day when you step through the doors at the airport and I get to see you holding her in your arms ... oh I have chills!! Soooooo exciting!!! CONGRTULATIONS from Larry & Nikki!!!
I hope and pray that things go smoothly from here on out - it's been such a long rough road, you deserve some smooth sailing!
My granddaughter, Chun Wen, will some day know just how blessed she came to be with Natalie and Steve as her mom and dad and Jack, Elliot and Paxten as her siblings. (and Papa John and Gammie Sue as grandparents of course :) )
