There's a blog I read from time to time - a mom of many kids, one adopted which is how I found it, but she's always complaining about how hard it is to take care of her kids. I hope I'm not like that, I hope I don't complain that much and I hope I don't sound as ungrateful as she does - I mean, a complaint once in while seems normal, but EVERY post is about how hard she has it...
That said, I'm going to use up my once, it's been a while, hasn't it?
They say not to put children in the position where they're likely to misbehave, like extensive shopping and such, but They never had to prepare for a trade show on a work day with no daycare back up. Today my three have refused to listen, hit each other, scratched each other, tattled, whined about not getting what they want, whined about being copied while colouring, whined that the dog was lying on her blanket, fought over markers, refused to clean up, thrown things, slammed down toys, bumped heads, stole toys, stomped feet, caught fingers in drawers, touched in the stores, laid on the floor, pushed and shoved, whined about being pushed and shoved, ran in the parking lot, laughed at my anger, stood on my feet, made each other cry, screamed at me, slammed doors (and opened them to slam them again)... But I gotta say, the highlights were being warned by Jack "I don't have to if I don't want to" when I said he would be sent to his room, or Paxten's response to "I've told you already" when she snarled "I don't CARE!". Sigh.

There's a huge difference between complaining constantly and just venting once in a while! I know which one you will choose!
On a day like that, you can't help but vent! It's enough to make one want to run down the road, screaming and pulling hair out and such.
