But I will post about the package because I was sooo excited to send it! And as I type that, I realize I meant to take a picture of the package contents and forgot, darn.
I sent the following to Children's Bridge for them to send onto China -
For Anna: a small Princess Dora doll that Tink and Moose picked out, a 3-pack of socks, a picture book of farm animals with touchy-feely textures, and most important two baby photo albums filled with pictures of her siblings and parents, and one picture of a big yellow dog.

For the other children: a package of markers and a package of crayons, a 6-pack of receiving blankets for the infants, like these but in yellow and green, not pink.

For the caregivers: two packages of candies (Werther's and Campino Cherry!), a letter explaining who the contents are for and asking them to show Anna the photos and explain who we are, a page of questions about her history - who named her and why kinda questions.

There is every chance it will not get to her, but worth the try. As long as she gets the pictures, I don't care what happens to the rest of the box. I've read that nannies are very good at showing children pictures of family to the point that when parents show up to receive the child, s/he knows who they are from the pictures.
Guess who labelled all the pictures with Chinese characters? ME! I wrote "older brother" on Jack's and Elliot's pages, "Older sister" on Paxten's, "Mama" and "Baba" on mine and Steve's, and "house pet" on Rookie's. When I tried to translate "Dog" there were so many varieties, and several of them sounded scary, so I figured "house pet" would be the most benign.
We're only allowed to send one package so we're done - which is probably just as well because it was the most expensive box of socks and candy ever.

Check out www.redthreadmaps.com and you should be able to pin point Anna's SWI. I hope it eases your worrying.
Shipping over the border - any border! - is so expensive! But of course the personal touches are so important right now. She'll finally get to see pictures of her family! :D
She actually has a map of SWIs involve in the earthquake. Here is the link http://redthreadmaps.com/sichuan_earthquake.html
