The day started well, but early. Steve and I were up around 6. I finished my unpacking - yes, FINISHED it which is shocking as a weekend trip to the Valley usually results in packed bags for three weeks - did laundry and general tidying. The kids all got up around 8 (AnnaWen slept through the night in her OWN bed). They ate, and we gave them their surprizes from our trip, then they got dressed and we went to church, Diane, the four kids and I. After church we did some small grocery shopping and came home. Diane made lunch because I couldn't seem to get my ass off the couch. We hung around all afternoon not doing much - played outside for a little while, played inside doing puzzles and such, I folded and put away laundry, tidied some more... Diane prepped supper, and Steve q'd. We just put the kids down - Steve did bathes, I brushed, peed and booked the girls and he's doing those three with the boys now. AnnaWen was asleep in her bed in less than 5 minutes - literally. I put them in bed, kissed and tucked, and went downstairs where I found their bracelets and new purses. I decided to take them back up as an excuse to check on AW and she was out cold. While I put the girls to bed Diane worked on Jack's music practice and cleaned the kitchen, which is awesome b/c I think I'd have cried if I had to clean the kitchen tonight. I'm that tired. It's almost 830 and I think I'll be in bed before 9.
Though if this is as bad as it (jetlag) gets, it's not nearly as bad as I feared.
Everyone is doing well - I'm just too tired to comment on AnnaWen's moody day of fake and real tears with unidentified triggers or PJ's nasty defiance or Elliot's constant need for reminders to "get out of her space" or Jack's obnoxious habit of taking her hand and leading her around the room in aimless circles (like walking a dog) just because she'll follow him. Through the fog of jetlag and frustration of four Munsters getting used to the new arrangements, the highlight had to be the 2.7 seconds that we had all four swings filled this afternoon. And it's worth it.

That's great that Diane is there to help you through this jet-laggy time. :) Awesome!
I hope that today goes better, as far as the exhaustion and settling in. Hugs!
One day at a time... you're doing an awesome job!!!
Glad to hear you have some extra help during this exhausting time.
I hope the jet-legginess passes quickly!
