Speaking of Irony (and if Missy would show me the way to link words to posts, that word would be linked to yesterday's post and be quite clever), guess what I forgot to do tonight?
Feed my kids.
Don't call Children's Services, please. Please?
My defense: We had a late lunch, like 2:30 or so, and it was a big bbq. Steve went out a little after 4 and we played for a while, then I cleaned them up and they had a big bath - all four of them in the tub. They got out one at a time and I dried their hair (except Jack's buzz cut) which they all love. I dressed the girls and sent the boys up to get their pjs on. The girls and I painted nails while the boys played Lego, then everyone took turns to pee and brush teeth (Wen lets me do it easily now, yay!). I read the girls a story each and tucked them in, read the boys a story each and tucked them in. It was when I was almost done the fourth story of the night, second with the boys, that I realized I was a little munchie. Not hungry, just munchie for a snack. I wondered through Curious George why my dinner wasn't sticking better and tried to remember what we had. It was only then that I realized I couldn't remember b/c we didn't have any. I finished the story and tucked the boys in. I checked on the girls with the thought that if they were still awake I could take them all down for a bowl of cereal or something, but they were out cold. The boys are both tired too, both having tears in the last couple hours over simple things and neither mentioned being hungry, so I figured I'd cut my loses and proceed with bedtime.
And here I sit, the munchies are growing and I'm getting hungry but I feel too guilty to eat anything. Sigh.
So, about the Mother of the Year... do I win?

I am going to wet myself if you keep writing funny stuff like this! Sure...you are always a winner in my heart.
Of course you're a winner... I've done that too... late lunch means no dinner... yippee... no kitchen to clean either! Nothing wrong about going without dinner for a day, believe me! You're doing great!
LOL! Well you know...other than THAT it sounds like it was a great night! Lmfwao! :D
P.S. If you really want to know, I'll show you. It's super simple. :)
LOL!! They will survive!!
