I'm at a loss of what to write... as excited as we are, I feel I've said all there is to say... we're just waiting some more for the days to pass.
This weekend was busy. We had Jack's "Kid Party" which was a blast. Lots of kids, lots of sun, lots of water play... Jack was a bit disappointed that none of his friends from school and the sitter could come, but he had a great time playing with our family friends - the Drennans, the Rideouts, the Empringhams, the MacDonalds and our favourite Little Lily totalled 16 kids when added to our crowd.
Sunday I tried to get the family to hang out in our bed and watch the Closing Ceremonies, but in the end, I was the only one interested enough to watch. We skipped church just because I didn't have it in me to get them ready and out the door. That afternoon we celebrated AnnaWen's pending arrival with a "toddler" shower! My friend Nancy invited a bunch of people, brought a bunch of food and planned a bunch of games - it was a great time!
Today we have to go grocery shopping, but I can't seem to find the effort and concentration to even write the list, let alone get everyone (including me) dressed out of pjs and to the car. I've given myself the grace of the morning and plan to head out after lunch. If I don't, we don't eat, so that should be motivation enough.
In general I sit here anxious and bored but too lazy and overwhelmed to act on it... I'm tired and distracted and having trouble finishing anything I start, including a train of ...
... what was I saying?
Work should be interesting this week.

I say, either have a cup of coffee or go back to bed. But then, it's 5:30 pm there by now...might as well skip the coffee. :)
