A Post to Post

I feel compelled to post, but not much to say...

Another busy weekend - yesterday after my sleep in, I took the kids out grocery shopping and running errands and the day was gone that fast. Today I took a g'friend to breakfast to get her out of the way for her hubby to prep her surprize b'day party. After breakfast I beat her out to her house to attend the party, then made soccer with a moment to spare and had dinner at Kelly's. I snuck out early from that to see Momma Mia with a couple of friends - what a fantastic movie!

Last night I spent time filling out forms for our travel options. It's looking more and more like our travel is September 5 - 19th. That gives us an estimated date of the 7th or 8th that we'll meet Annawen. Our childcare arrangements for the Munsters and pup are falling into place.

I've spoken to a friend who lives in Beijing (hi Darlene!). She reports that Blogspot is inconsistently available in China. Email is more reliable, as long as I don't comment on gov't processes or speak poorly of "the Five-Ringed Event". My plan is to post every day if possible, and also to send a copy to my friend (hi Melissa!). She'll have my login info, and if the post doesn't work on the blog, she'll post for me. So stay tuned.

I'll leave you with an E-Funny. At the party, the 20 or so kids were running up and down the hallway hitting each other with balloons. Elliot came by, without a balloon. In an effort to make sure he was included I pointed out there were a couple unused ones he could claim. He looked at me with a very serious expression and stated "Skate Man does not need a weapon to fight. Skate Man is so fast, he doesn't need it". Skate Man is his latest creation, his alter ego that requires only socks (today, they were red Christmas socks) to glide speedily - if not gracefully - on hardwood floors. Man I love that kid.
