Next week...

If I had the energy, I'd review my blog to see how many weeks I've said "next week" on Friday. I know for a fact I said it last week. I know for a fact I said it the Thursday before Easter. I think I said it the week before that... which makes this week four of "next week".

According to other waiting families who hope to receive a match in this group of children, the medical consults needed more information from China about some of the children. Again they hope to be able to send referrals to families or provincial officials by the end of next week.

Interestingly next week also brings us April. Yesterday and today have been very spring-like here in Southern Ontario. With the winter we've had, and the wait to referral, at this point spring and a referral seem equally likely. Granted, spring will come. We're told a referral will come as well. But both seem pretty difficult to imagine right now. Since our switch in October we were told to expect "March or April". Since the journey has always been longer than anticipated, I never put much hope in March, and have used April all along. Here we are, at the brink of April...
