10 things about Us

To spend some time...

Ten Things about Jack Corbett

1. Jack is about to pass Crocodile in swimming, after trying 4 times.
2. Jack loves to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and has finished the game (almost) by himself.
3. Jack is reading primer books by himself, but will ask for help when he doesn't really need it.
4. Jack can play Mary Had a Little Lamb and the C-scale on the piano.
5. Jack shares a birthday with my grandmother, his Grammie Great.
6. Jack wants to be a fireman when he grows up (I'm hoping he changes his mind).
7. Jack names all his Creatures by their animal names; Pig and Puppy are his favourites.
8. Jack likes to use his Thermos container for his lunch, and doesn't really care what goes in it.
9. Jack prefers to sleep on the bottom bunk, b/c it's easier to get back into bed when a parent is coming.
10. Jack was named after the Robin Williams movie by the same name.

Ten Things about Elliot Chase

1. Elliot does not like cake and only eats the icing off the top.
2. Elliot loves pickles and pickled beets and onions.
3. Elliot often pretends he's "Skate Man" a Superhero of his own creation.
4. Elliot can read and write about 50 words/names by sight.
5. Elliot loves to colour, and will do so for an hour or more at a time.
6. Elliot is the only Sampson kid closer to the 50th percentile in height than 90th.
7. Elliot has blue eyes, while the rest of us have brown.
8. Elliot has two stuffed dogs, one named "Puppy" one named "Nother Puppy".
9. Elliot wants to be a race car driver when he grows up (I hope he changes his mind too).
10. Elliot was named after the little boy in E.T., and the University residence where Steve and I met.

Ten Things about Paxten Julia

1. Paxten is fearless, and a thrill seeker.
2. Paxten prefers dolls to animals, and typically has one with her where ever she goes.
3. Paxten sings to herself in the car, usually "Wheels on the Bus" or "ABC's"
4. Paten likes to have hair ties put in, but pulls them out when she gets bored.
5. Paxten calls her brother "Lala" even though she can say 'Elliot' (Jack did too, when E was born).
6. Paxten pretends to be Tinkerbell and flies around when the boys are being Superheroes.
7. Paxten is obsessed with Dora, and will ask 18x an hour to watch it.
8. Paxten loves meat, including steak, and will eat any meat on her plate before anything else.
9. Paxten says "me" instead of "I" except when she says "I don't know".
10. Paxten was named from a Baby Name book, and would have been Paxton had she been a boy. Her middle name is for her Aunt Capt. Steele.

Ten Things about Anna Mary

1. Anna is alive right now, but is less than 26 months of age.
2. Anna is in China.
3. Anna is a survivor, having already had to fight for her life.
4. Anna is talked about daily in our home, usually by her brothers and sister.
5. Anna has assigned seating at our dining room table and counter, according to her sibs.
6. Anna has a birth mom who loved her enough to be sure she'd be found.
7. Anna has a good chance at being the shortest of the Sampson clan.
8. Anna was likely born in the VERY lucky year of the Golden Pig.
9. Anna has a Cabbage Patch doll hiding from her sister in my closet.
10. Anna was sorta named after the movie 'Annie' (yes, I know that's horrible), and will be called Anna and Annie. She was also named after her Grammie Great.
