Citizenship Application

This process is rediculous.

We have collected documents; Steve's b.cert, driver's liscence, health card, Wen's permanent residency card, adoption certificate, change of name certificate. Because her adoption cert is not in French or English we had to have it translated. Luckily one of Steve's coworkers reads Chinese and helped us out for free, but that didn't include the $40 lawyer visit to have him swear to the lawyer that his translation is true. All the documents had to be copied and certified, again lucky for us that our MLA does so pro bono. Then I went online and paid a $100 processessing fee. SO, it's all set to mail tomorrow. But that's just Part One. Apparently after they have verified that Steve is a Canadian citizen, we have to send a second part of the application (much of the same documentation) at a later date. WHY do they make this so hard? She's barely a baby, for Pete's sake! She should have become a Canadian citizen the moment she was legally ours. Ugh.

We didn't do all that!! I think there is mis information some where!!

We sent the pr card and the $100 and two pieces of idea with her Canadian name. Nothing to do with Shawn or myself and no swearing!!

Sponorship or automatic?

Same with us the first time around!
It was very simple and fast!

With our 2nd, he was considered a Canadian when we arrived in Toronto.
