Hmph.
My g'father read the Bible from front to back several times. I remember memorizing verses in Sunday School and Church groups. Not surprizingly I forced them to develop a new rule when I recited my one verse required memorized for the week - it was two words long. Guess the joke's on me b/c I can't remember what it was now - it was a Noun (or pronoun) and a verb. After that they had a minimum length requirement.
Anyways, my point is that I'm not religious in the sense of reading and quoting the Bible, or even believing all of it, but here and there I stumble upon verses that ring true to me in that moment. I've had one listed on the right hand side - Melissa was shocked I came up with it, even though I just listed it from someone else.
Here's another one I found. I've had it on my desktop of the computer since... for some reason, it calms me when I read it:
"The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:5-7
Anyways. A lot of bloggers include scriptures... Guess that's my obligatory spiritual entry.
