The girls went to the Shubie Wildlife Park, a near local zoo that has animals naturally seen in our environment - big cats, horses, raccoons, moose, ducks, otters, etc... so in the car on the way home I asked how their trip went:
Momma: Tell me about the animals you saw.
Paxten: We saw raccoons, and if you touch a raccoon's bum you get a raccoon quill in your hand.
Momma: Oh, I think you mean porcupine.
Paxten: Yeah, a porcupine.
AnnaWen: And we saw Sam, the hog.
Paxten: Yeah, Sam the hog.
Momma: Shubie Sam, the GROUNDhog?
PJ & Wen: Yeah! Sam!
AnnaWen: And we saw polar bears!
Momma: Polar bears?
Wen: Yeah, polar bears!
Momma: POLAR bears?
PJ: Yeah, but there wasn't any snow.
Momma: What colour were the polar bears?
Wen & PJ: Black. And we couldn't see his face because he was sleeping.
They crack me up.
