In our marriage, we've had some wonderful blessings. We've also had some pretty hard kicks - mistakes or choices of others have caused us to lose thousands of dollars. Two situations specifically that cost us nearly 30K in total. So this week I have a new client who I *think* is the child of one of the people whose ineptitude and then apathy caused us significant financial loss. I've decided all there is to do is pretend I don't know who the father is, pretend like there's no history at all, and go forward with a new working relationship... but I'm surprized at how hard that may be.
