I cut my hair off today. I hadn't cut it in a few years and it was well past my shoulders. But it was stringy, damaged, ratty... for some reason I hate cutting my hair, it's like a comfort blankie, but it looked bad, sooo, I cut it off. The kids all noticed when I got home and they had different responses:
AnnaWen: Mommy? Why is your hair so crazy? why is it short?
Paxten: Mommy! Your hair is short! (when I asked if she liked it): No, I like it long.
Jack: Well *I* like it, Mommy.
Elliot, taking long look, then giving me a hug: Mommy! You have the cheese touch! (some kind of Wimpy Kid jinx)
Jack can ride his two wheeler! We took the training wheels off a few weeks ago and he couldn't get the hang of it. Then last weekend he had some friends over who could ride and I think it gave him motivation. he tried again that night and just rode.
Tomorrow is Mothers' Day, and they are full to the brim with secrets. We're having a family friend over for his birthday too. In the car Paxten announced that there was whipped cream for his birthday, and it's a good thing it wasnt' for Mothers' Day b/c then she would have just told me a surprize. At that point AnnaWen annouced there were M&Ms for Mothers' Day.
