We had a weekend of opposites.
Yesterday we invited Elliot's friends over for a "kid party" to celebrate turning four. We had 3 kids who turn 6 this summer, 3 kids who turn 4 this summer, one who turned 3 this winter, 3 kids who turned 2 in the last 6 months, and one very quiet 4 month old. There was playing in the yard, sliding, swinging, running, bubble catching, trailer riding, etc. When it got cooler and drizzly we came inside for finger paiting, basketball (yes, inside), cake and icecream, tent play, etc. Organized (well, not that organized) chaos.
Today was a day of recovery. We stayed in our pj's well past lunch, then dressed and went to see the new Indiana Jones (E had some movie money from his bday that he wanted to spend). The boys crashed fast and hard tonight, but Paxten slept through most of the movie and was still banging around upstairs at 10pm!
