I have been known to say "Money Sucks". In truth, money itself doesn't suck, but the lack of it does... I have a love / hate relationship with money - I love shopping, I hate spending money. Does that make sense?
Things I hate spending money on:
Cars. The truck has a new transmission, the car cost nearly $400 on a bunch of little things and will cost another $350 in the next week or so.
Utilities. Maybe it's my fault I take power for granted, but I don't enjoy spending money on lights.
Hair cuts. It just grows back. Ugh.
Pet Food. They eat better than we do.
Vet bills. Really, REALLY should be covered by MSI (provincial health plan).
Daycare. While I am thrilled with our daycare and think it's worth every penny, I wish I didn't have to pay someone else to be with my kids.
Insurance. A necessary evil.
Things I don't mind spending money on:
Clothes. As long as they're reasonable - I only buy off the sale rack at Old Navy. The most expensive thing I own is about $30.
Food. I enjoy grocery shopping, though I buy most things in generic brand - only buy name brand Peanut Butter and ketchup.
Taxes. Well no one LIKES paying taxes, I appreciate our schools and healthcare and don't mind supporting that by paying taxes.
Mortgage. We may be house broke, but at least each week we own a little bit more.

House broke. LOL! :D
I hate spending money on clothes. Things are ridiculously overpriced. If I hit a good sale, I don't mind so much.
I hate paying utilities bills too. I just want to tell them to Eff off!
I HATE spending money but I have to! The only time I like spending money is when I spend it on other people. I LOVE buying things for other people: my kids, my neighbours and friends, my students, strangers (like the guy I bought a coffee and sandwich for a few weeks back!) I must have been native in a previous life: they believed everything was ment to be shared and not owned solely by an individual. The more I give the more I get back but not necessarily in a financial way. Just the great feeling in the pit of my stomach. But...one can only do this when one is older with very little debt!!
