Sigh and Random Thoughts (D21)

Not much to say... time is flying which is surprizing when we consider the wait for Anna, but not in the least bit newsworthy when we look at The Bear, The Moose and Tinkerbell.

What do you think of the name Annawen?

We decided on Anna pretty early in the adoption process - back when we were pursuing a baby girl, AYAP (as young as possible). Now we have a two year old waiting for us (little does she know it) who may be very comfortable with her name. From what I've read and been told by APs, babies in China seem to go by their second given character. OuYang, Chun Wen is Anna's full name, her second given name is Wen, which I happen to think is very pretty. I'd like to combine OUR Anna with the reality that is Chun Wen and name her Annawen Mary (Chun) Sampson. Can't convince Steve of it though.... He says "She may not want any part of changing her name" which supports my arguments completely even if he doesn't see it. If her formal name is Annawen, she can go freely between Anna / Annie / Wen without legal process as she decides which name is best for her. Not to mention it's a beautiful name.

Convince him!

I think you should do what Michael suggested with our "grandparents" names...wait and see what the kids want to call you rather than have a name they can't get their tongue around ready. If you are going to choose, Annawen is nice.
