Tripled LIDs!!!

Well, it's not nearly as exciting as it sounds - rumours have it that the CCAA has referred up to and including November 1, 2005. That's six days, for those who are counting (Oct 27 - Nov 1), which is three times the days referred last month. It's still less than the average over the past six months.

Looking back at this time last year gives some hope. The pattern showed a very small month (five days), followed by a larger but still small month (9 days) and then increasing back to regular months of double-digit days. That suggests that things may be turning around again. Hopefully we've had our small month (last) and our almost as small month (this), we've made it through the monsterous month that was October 2005, and have tip-toed into an equally huge November. November has a lot of families, it will probably take another 3-4 months to get through. The ray of hope is supposedly December, January and February are all relatively small months that should only take 2-3 months each to get through, maybe even less (dare we dream?).

Bottom line, we're looking at 2009-2010. Originally the thought of summer to fall 2008 made me ill, now it's my best hope! Could it possibly be 3-4 years? Today is actually one of the days I'm almost okay with it. Not that I want to wait, but I'm taking comfort in the knowledge that we'll wait exactly as long as we're meant to to meet our destined daughter.
