Referrals are out...

The CCAA has matched families who were logged in up to September 27, 2005. We're logged in Oct 11, 2006. That's 12 months and 14 days between where they are now and when it's our turn... That doesn't sound too long, except that they're not matching a month's worth of dates in a month... they've been matching about two weeks worth of dates each month. SO, multiply 12.5 months by 2 and it puts us at a referral date in about 25 months - from now... or February 2009. Ouch. That's if their rate of 2wks/month stays consistent... and there's no way to know if that will be the case.

So some math... My biggest concern about when we receive Anna is the age difference between her and Paxten... We had our children close on purpose - there is 20 months between Jack and E, 18 months between Elliot and PJ. We're really hoping there's 24 months or less between PJ and Anna. Typically children are between 9mos and 24 months when they are referred. So, if we are referred in February 2009, it is likely she'll be born between Feb. 2007 and May 2008. SO, let's cross our fingers for a 2007 babe, between now and December will keep her 2yrs younger than her big sis...
