Confirmed.

Our agency finally admitted to the lengthened wait. When we started, they predicted a wait of 12-14 months, as recently as before Christmas they told us to "expect" a wait of 16-20 months. Last week they admitted the wait is likely to reach 24 months for those of us logged in in the fall of 2006. They used our month as an example "those logged in Oct. 2006 may expect a referral in Oct. 2008". The turn around for travel is 6-10 weeks. I HOPE that means we're home before Christmas 2008. I'm already feeling anxious about missing Christmas for the adoption. We dont' have a choice - it's not like we can say "can we travel these dates?" they tell us when to go. I'd hate to explain to the three children we have that we're not home for Christmas b/c we have to go get their sister. BUT why worry now about that right? UGH. I swear I'll find something to stress about!
