Wednesday was Extreme Disappointement as we learned our Chinese jiejie is not coming... I'm waiting to see if there is another student who needs a place to stay, but it won't be someone from China. We'll ask again for a student from China at Christmas (if we don't have someone else for the year) or next year, but I'm still pretty bummed about this year.
Thursday was Extreme Medical Mysteries at the IWK. Well not that mysterious, but something you don't see every day. The Moose fell off his bike into a bush, basically, and a stick pierced his ear vertically through the lobe. We spent a couple hours in the ER where the doc pulled it out. I can't get over how brave my boy was... he barely cried at all. He did make off with a lunch at Jungle Jim's though so he did alright.

Friday was Extreme Emotion day... The Littlests and I went to Costco, then to the beach with our pseudo-cousins. We left in time to go pick up Jack from camp at 6. We got home about 7 and he dillydallied in the car. I went to get the second load of sandy towels and found him crying in the car. He proceeded to cry for the next two hours. At first he said he didn't know why he was crying. Then he said he knew, but was embarrassed to tell me (that scared me, I must admit). Finally he admitted he was sad because he was going to miss his councellors from camp. Poor guy... he is sooo his Mama's son. And so so tired.
Tomorrow we have hair appointments and Steve is going to tackle putting up his new net and our tv in the rec room. We also have to tackle the room where everything in our basement was stashed as we reno'd... YIKES. Sunday we have a bday party in the Valley. Suddenly and all too soon the weekend will be over.
