I Bemembered...

I remembered the story I forgot yesterday. Jack wasn't all that insightful, but he was super cute.

Jack saw Steve picking up Elliot from the school after his headtowall collision. It went like this:

After music he asked me "Did they call you to come get me when I cut my knee last year?" (he scrapped his knee on the blacktop - a good scrape, but just a scrape).
Me: Um, nope.
Jack: Why not?
Me: I think they thought they had it under control. Hitting your head can be dangerous, so they are very careful if someone hits their head.
Jack: Oh, but you could see some muscle and almost my knee bone when I cut it!
Me: Really? Maybe they didn't see that... I think they figured they had it under control.

I think Jack feels a little left out with E entering school. He said to me several weeks ago "Just because Elliot started school three days ago doesn't mean you have to pay more attention to him!"

Ah well.
