Confusion

We listen to country radio in the car and the kids, especially the girls, sing along and know a lot of the songs. One band that is played a lot lately is "Lady Antebellum". Almost every time it comes on Tink talks about the singers, the girl she thinks is called "Lady". I've explained to her that that's the band name, not their names, but she keeps insisting on calling the woman "Lady". Today she asked if "Tebellum" was singing. Knowing the girl was Lady, I knew she was referring to the guy and just mispronouncing "antebellum". I sighed and explained AGAIN that that wasn't his name, that the band together was Lady Antebellum. And as I said it that time I heard it the way she's been hearing it all this time: Lady AND Tebellum. Geez no wonder. I tried to explain again and promised that we'd look up their real names on the computer at home. Poor girl...

For the longest time, I thought Elvis was saying "amohn-shu-cup" instead of "I'm all shook up" Funny what we hear!
