Busy Weekend...

I like to cram activities in and fill up days, apparently.

Thursday I worked till early afternoon then got everyone ready for the family pictures. In spite of some last minute chaos as we switched locations because of the pouring rain (that stopped as soon as we started to take pictures, damn Murphy), I think it went pretty well:

Friday was spent at the gym and running errands, then at the Rehearsal dinner for Kelly and Sean's wedding. The minister was an hour late for the rehearsal, then the rehearsal was LOOOONG, then the rehearsal dinner at their place was DELICIOUS which meant for a late night. On top of that, when I got home I had to finish my last Wedding Project, so I was up late.

Saturday I got up early and headed out to pick up some things for the wedding and get to my hair appointment by 1030. I got all girled up, then headed back to the house for a few moments of quiet brownie eating with the Father of the Bride before all the girls came back and pre wedding preparations flew into a frenzie. A house full of women, late for a wedding, with hair catastrophes and mis(or un)altered dresses... STRESS. I made my escape with the bride's parents and daughter to the church "early" (and I use that term loosely). The wedding started late, but once it was underway it took off. The ceremony was beautiful, the pictures were fun, the dinner was yummy, the party was fantastic... Such a great wedding! thanks guys!

This morning I slept in while Steve went to practice - who gets up early after a night of drinking and leaves the hotel to go to practice? Steve does. We had some brunch with the fam, checked on our poor, hungover friend, packed up our room and took Kelly and Sean and their wedding collection of stuff back to thier place. We picked up some groceries at Costco and ended up at home just ahead of Kelly, Sean, Amy and Andrew for a relaxing, summer bbq. Mmmm hotdogs.

It's 7:30 and our exhausted children are in bed... I doubt we're far behind! I love summer weekends... My feet still hurt, but it was worth it!
