I know, not many, but unfortunately this has become my outlet for frustrations and uncertainty that not many people I talk to every day can understand...
This afternoon we met up with two other families who adopted girls in 2005, and both of whom are logged in for a second adoption in late September, 2006 - they should be a month or two ahead of us come referral time.
We talked a lot about their first adoptions, about their expectations and anticipation of their second adoptions, we watched the kids play. I love seeing the final result - it worked for some people! It might just work for us. Also, the moms had hopes that we would recieve our referral in fall 2008 to spring 2009. Can't say I believe them but their hope was a breath of fresh air for me... I mean, statistically, their optimistic guess has every chance my pessimistic one does of coming true - we don't know what will happen with the CCAA, they could suddenly surge full steam ahead for all we know. Let's hope!
