And with it, referral day blah.
The CCAA matched children to families logged in October 14-24, 2005 inclusively. SO, a month's worth of work produced 11 days of progress. Sucks.
The rays of hope I'm clinging to:
1. Although it's been a full month since the last referral day, it hasnt' been a productive one in China - the CCAA was closed for a week for Chinese New Year and still managed 11 LID of matches... without that vacation, perhaps they would have matched more than they have been?
2. I've read that October 2005 has a HUGE number of families to match, so maybe THESE 11 days are more work than the average 11 days... without that increased number of waiting families, perhaps they would have matched more days than they did?
Those two points suggest that maybe things will start to speed up going forward. Apparently Oct and Nov 2005 were/are unusually heavily laden with waiting families, and there are murmurs that once those families are matched, months following will move more quickly. My last ray of hope:
3. Regardless of the wait, we're one day closer. It can't go on indefinitely, though sometimes it feels that way. As of next week we've been LID for five months - and that seems to have passed pretty quickly. I'm hoping with spring around the corner, and the kiddos growing and learning so fast, we'll have more to distract us from the wait.
waiting for Anna

PS. I've removed the best case, worst case and realistic case of our date of referral... according to the Forcast site, our Realistic date shifted back to December 30, 2007... somehow seeing it move backwards instead of forwards is too depressing to change here, so I took it out altogether.
