You saw a few posts ago the notice that reported our month to be out of Rev
iew. That graphic came from the CCAA website, included there with the purpose of informing parents in waiting and agencies and the general public of their status with respect to processing dossiers sent to their office. The box was replaced with <---- This this morning.
Rumour boards are having a field day with it. What could it mean? Reactions range from "This is it, they're shutting things down" to "We were told they would do this months ago and now they have". Apparently the CCAA has developed an electronic, paid membership site that is available to agencies needing information about the process and provide their information through that source, making the update box redundant, according to them, that is.
It's just one more thing.
I have been in contact with my agency about our immigration sponsorship process. We've received a couple packages in the mail that we don't know what to do with, quite frankly. Apparently a couple numbers in that paperwork meant something to our agency so we've forwarded onto them the information they need.
I'm feeling much less confident about March than ever today. With the small group of children sent to CB, the continued slow down of both NSN and SN lines... I just think March is too good to be true. In fact, June, which used to be my worst case, is looking less than definite as well. Sigh. Maybe I'm just burnt one to many times - throughout this process (we've been "waiting" for 15 months come Friday, but nearing our 2 year mark on the overall journey) nothing I can think of has been a pleasant surprize. At every turn, and I do mean EVERY turn and change and step in the process has been more difficult, more expensive, more time consuming, more heartwrenching, more exhausting than we originally thought. It's not like we entered this game with our rose coloured ski goggles on, it's just that the rules of the game, the players and the officials have changed over and over, some unexpectedly, some with warning, but never, and I do mean NEVER for the better. Why would it suddenly turn easy now?
EDITED TO ADD: On second thought... In my frustration and desparation, I emailed my agency contact. She is still confident we'll complete the process in about a year. That means March or June. I need to stop analyzing and just sit back.
